Two things can be true.

Since when do you play Whack a mole with a scalpel?
Simplest answer: Sex sells, and everyone knows it. I don’t mind it at all, but I do agree that XC2 has very over-the-top designs when compared to XC1 or any other Nintendo title (take a look at Dahlia from the same game if you wanted to see bigger boobs).
So Northern English = Cringe Accent? I actually loved having a game for once where everybody didn’t sound like Americans.
The PC version of CP2077, which is the only version that Steam cares about, is OK. Not great, not terrible. There’s a huge difference between “actually bad” and “not as good as it should have been”.
GET IN THE FUCKING BAG, NEBBY!
That’s the thing people who claim capitalism don’t understand about scalpers.
They’re not capitalists. They’re actively HARMING capitalism.
Each step in the supply chain is supposed to add some sort of value to the product to justify the price increase that each step creates.
Scalpers simply add an extra step,…
“Essentially every business resells their products,” said Jordan. “Tesco, for example, buys milk from farmers for 26p or so per litre and sells it on for upwards of 70p per litre. No one ever seems to complain to the extent as they are currently doing towards ourselves.”
The milk wholesaler adds value by making the milk much easier for consumers to get. It gets the milk from farms all over the place and moves it to a convenient marketplace. They earn their markup by adding value.

“Super Mario 3D World just doesn’t play as effortlessly as I’d expect of a Mario game, a feeling perhaps compounded by this re-release coming hot on the heels of last year’s Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a compilation which included some of Mario’s best 3D outings. Add in a wonky camera that only gives the player a bare…
Vampires gonna buy the hell out of that wine.
But like... they have backups. Paying the people/person doesn’t guarantee anything. They still have copies. If someone is shitty enough to steal it and extort you in the first place, I have no trust that they’d honor their word and not release the info after you pay them anyway.
Right, and those kinds of systems were hopefully in place. Hacks like this are usually social engineering first and foremost, though, and VPN and associated crypto are only as secure as your staff are paranoid.
Not at all, and especially not during the pandemic when most (if not all) employees are working from home. Source code needs to be pulled, worked on, and committed. Email needs to be read and replied to. There’s no way to airgap any of that. Company docs, maybe, depending on what those compromised documents actually…
Seconded.
I argue to this day that while the very final moments might not have been fantastic, the “ending” is the entire game. The whole 3rd game is a finale to the characters and relationships we love, and there were many satisfying endings within that. So what if the final shots fall a bit flat?
like the game’s keyboard + mouse control method being almost unusable since the on-screen prompts still only appear for a controller.
Weird, I think this shows exactly why Nintendo HAS to go after fan games using their IP. Just googling for new Mario bros cactus gives this as the first result? Nobody’s going to know that Nintendo didn’t make that garbage.
You know, once CD quality music could be put into video games, I’ve found a lot of video game music more forgettable. The simpler tunes of the 8- and 16-bit eras find a way to latch on to your brain and never let go.
