Compared to some other game/expansion launches, the Shadowkeep launch has been downright smooth. A couple blips here or there for me the first day but no issues otherwise. Compared to a WoW launch, this was nothing. (I remember the BC launch having issues for weeks)

In fact, I bought a house recently and saved myself/the seller about $12K and could have saved an additional $12K if I could have convinced her to dump her agent

That’s....every game ever really. NPC A: “You should be careful of the Forest of Death, it’s full of death!” 5m later: NPC B: “Hero, we need this really important mcguffin from the Forest of Death and you’re the only one that can get it for us!”

I really enjoyed the story and characters, though I suppose it was a bit cliche.

Graces was always a bit of a split opinion. Personally it's one of my favorites, but not everyone agrees.

Once, but to the cab company and not the police. Was driving to visit my parents for a Sunday dinner with (my now ex) wife and as we were approaching the end of the merge lane between highways, a cab guns it, cuts across the Gore lane, and almost hits me, then slows way the hell down. At that point I was pretty pissed

I think I still have my original cart in storage. I played a ton of it when I was a kid, but I was never very good at it. But, it has a monster truck that does wheelies, and that was all 5 year old me needed.

yeah, I understand that. I’ve considered getting one of their conversion kits and converting my old SNES controlllers, but the controller I have not scratches that itch. They do have the SN30 GP though, which I think would meet more what you’re looking for. (appears to have replaced the old SN30)

I guess you got one of the newer ones? I have an older SN30 Pro and it’s basically an SNES controller with the extra buttons and joysticks. There is the SF30 though which has more classic look/feel. Not sure why they redid the design though.

oooor, just buy an 8bitdo controller. They work with the switch.

Lol, you may have seen me around. My character was a NE Rogue named Lyran. Was my main for all of WoW

Ah. I quit playing for good about this time last year. It was fun, but all the players I raided with kinda drifted away over time, and the forced 20m for mythic in WoD more or less killed my second guild. I think all the Group Finder stuff was the final nail in the coffin for me. Killed the server communities outside

Ah, a fellow masochist. I was in Self Titled on alliance side. (I was actually an officer) We were good until Bliz offered free transfers off the server. Dumbest thing they ever did, since they didn’t limit it to only horde, so all the Alliance people bailed and it became impossible to fill our 25m with quality

Probably to some extent. I was on Mal'ganis at the time, and the server was very high pop.

I remember when Wrath launched, I had to remote in to my home PC around lunch time and log in if I wanted to play at all that evening, for about 2 weeks. Once the initial rush dies down I imagine the queues will go away/drop significantly.

Ex-wifes ND with the BSP was annoying. She turned it off. You...don’t really need it in that car. It’s so damn small. If you can’t see it in, that’s a you problem. Screen is set at a height that you don’t even notice it unless you’re using it, so it’s a non-issue.

I can see that. Honestly, the only time I feel people are rightly justified in their anger is in the case of kick starters that promised steam, and then bailed at the last minute. While the dev’s aren’t doing anything illegal, it’s a very shitty thing to do, especially if the new store isn’t available to some backers.

Maybe it is my own distorted perception, but why is it that only in gaming communities we see low-life shitty haters like these on such large scopes? I mean, every fandom of anything has theirs, but it seems to me the gaming community has a larger percentage of them... for some reason I don’t understand.

The issue (for most) has never been the additional launcher, though many try to twist it that way. It also isn’t that the epic storefront exists. For me personally, I disagree with their business practices and security. That said, regardless of how I feel about the situation,  it's never an excuse to attack the devs.

Fwiw, this is on lifehacker, and just linked on giz.
