well, still have to update all the documentation. As I said, not a Python programmer.

You’re right, these aren’t necessarily new issues. It’s just I feel that this compassion is becoming coddling. Some things are legitimate issues, gay rights, gender identity and equality, etc. However, at times it goes too far into the “is this really an issue?” spectrum of things, and I think that this is one of…
There are costs, just not directly visible ones. No one’s going to lose a job over it, but there a lot of training that will need to be “redone” and manuals that will need to be rewritten. Like I said, in my other post, I don’t agree with the reasoning. I think it’s a stupid thing to change terminology over but I’m…
Maybe? I get the feeling it’s one of those things that’s only awkward if you make it awkward? I mean, the terminology is what it is. You didn’t come up with it and it’s not your fault. Most rational people aren’t going to be particularly bothered.
But but...child labor! /s
Fair enough. Like I said, I’m not a python programmer. I’m still allowed to think the change is dumb though.
I’m not particularly “frothing at the mouth” about this. I’m not a Python programmer, and don’t really have a horse in this race. I just think the change is unnecessary. Programming is a language, just like any other, and words don’t always “mean” the same thing. In a way, it’s like telling a Spanish speaker to stop…
And I totally get that. Personally, I’ve never made the connection in terms of computers though. Master/Slave is quite an appropriate term for how things are handled. Parent/Child is also a common one. Does that usage make you think of child labor?
So, I’m not a python programmer, by typically this kind of thing involves references in code. Changing it means people need to change this in their code to work with future versions. It’s potentially creating needless work.
I....think this is stupid. I’m sorry, call me “old” or whatever but there’s no reason to change this.
6000 sqft? That’s basically a mansion. Can that even be called an “apartment” at that point?
A few moves. FS, probably down-b (pocket), and a similar dashing attack.
Have you seen our house and senate?
Certainly sounds like it. I’ll be honest, I treated that poor car like shit, at least externally. It was a cheap fun car for a kid going to college. By the time I’d gotten rid of it about 4 years ago I’d probably totaled it twice over. First time, it would have been about the same cost to get another car, so it was…
Really? It was pretty easy to deal with. Pretty sure it was just holding a light ball IIRC (it’s been ages). I never had too much trouble fighting Red.
Technically I’m sure it wasn’t too hard. That said, it’s one of those little touches that someone thought of. I’m sure they could have not done it and the game would still be pretty good, but the little things are what make a game more immersive or fun. Lot of small touches make the world more “alive”.
Hah, yeah. I keep my cars until they start falling apart. Last car was 15 years old, and I owned it for about 8.5 of those. This was my first new car, and I’ll probably keep it 8-10 years as well. Have a longer loan, but at 0%, what’s the rush?
Of course. Sat down an priced out as similar to my current car as possible, it’s ~39-40k before discounts. (I regret not getting the NPP, sue me). Am I getting more features? sure. Am I getting 6-8k more in features, that’s questionable. Especially so when the features I really want, are bundled with a bunch I don’t…
I may have exaggerated a bit, haha. Regardless, I have to pay more to get features that were standard or inexpensive before, such as the HUD
Well, I’m happy with my purchase, and that’s what matters in the end. At the time, I did not have the disposable income to even consider all the upgrades myself.
