Edit: disregard

Probably. From a console perspective though there’s basically no reason to leverage that as it doesn’t really bring the dev/manf any more cash. IIRC, Nintendo let you rebuy anything you bought on the Wii that was released on the Wii U for a buck or two, just to cover the costs of making it work with the new platform,

No, they don’t get worse per se, it’s just that compared to a modern version of a game in the same genre/series, it’s flaws become more pronounced over time as they’re addressed in newer games. Sure, there are some that are virtually flawless (SMB3/SMW come to mind) but those are few and far between.

Sure, but graphically it’s a steaming pile of poo, and I love OoT.

And that’s fine. It does however, put you in the minority. That said, you might want to look into PC gaming. Backwards compatibility is less of an issue there, and many of the games you’ve listed can be gotten there. Modding is also a thing, so you can mess with your games to do more stuff with your replays.

Not that your argument is invalid, simply that it carries less weight.

*coughFF7cough*

Your first mistake was assuming the Switch replaces the 3DS. They have stated that it does not and there are not plans for it to do so. (though it may in the future, who knows with them sometimes)

Of course. They’re welcome to do so, it won’t offend me. However, those aren’t “backwards compatibility”. They’re standalone nostalgia machines. I had no interest in either as I already own about half the SNES games, and NES wasn’t a big draw for me as a kid. But yeah you hit the nail on the head. It’s a “feel good”

I’m going to be frank. Despite a small (vocal) minoirty, most people people don’t give a damn about backwards compatibility. Sure it’s a nice feature to have, but it’s not exactly a money maker for the manf. Most people just want to play the new stuff anyway. (not that there’s anything wrong with old games)

Eh, other than the sparks, they’re not so bad. basic maintenance is a breeze, and most things are accessible from the engine bay. Honestly, replacing the turn signals / headlights was the biggest PITA in that car. Replacing the serpentine literally takes less than 5m.

GM hate from that period mostly stems from their absolutely garbage interiors at the time. I had an 01 Camaro that I sold in 2015. I bought it used in...06 IIRC. By the time I sold it, the seats were tearing, and most of the plastic was cracked or falling apart. The car itself still ran great however.

Agreed. the 3800 wasn’t super powerful, and (mine at least) burned oil like a SoB, but it was a tank.

If your mobo supports SATA hotswap, sure go for it. (should be able to enable in the BIOS). If not, no.

Depends on where you live. Around me your options are A) Build your own home. B) Buy and renovate a shitbox not in an HoA C) Live with the HoA. Of course, some are better than others.

Do you have an optical drive? (CD/DVD/BluRay) That would explain one of the extra drives. As for the ??? and sting of characters, that’s probably your bad drive. Did it take a long time to boot?

Even then, that’s usually controlled by BIOS. Even if the system is configured to raid mode, if the drive isn’t part of the array or a RAID hasn’t been configured, it’s usually handled as a stand alone drive

A lot of things don’t occur to most people =P

Hah, yeah. We get so spoiled by just plugging things in and they work, when we have to do more technical things sometimes you have to stop think.

Get some cheap orange cones and practice on an empty street / parking lot?
