Well, at least it’s just a PSU. I’ll be honest, in all my years fixing PC’s PSU’s are probably one of the more common failure points. If you’re “lucky” they’ll spark and smoke and you’ll know you got a bad one. Also, if your hearing is good enough, they’ll often make a high pitched whine when they’re on their way out.

depends on the PSU. Get a fancy one and it may not even spin until it detects enough heat.

At least you (usually) can’t plug them in wrong. It’s just a switch, and switches (usually) don’t give a damn about polarity. That said, there are actually little indicators on the front panel plugs that show positive IIRC (it looks like a little triangle) Also depending on your case, if the manf is good about wiring,

Aren’t most of those from people taking corners and gunning it? I’m not sure these can turn.

I have a friend who loves ghost pepper food. Last thing I saw him eating was a chunk of ghost pepper jack cheese. Gave me a little piece and that stuff set my mouth on fire. I like spicy food and had no taste for that.

It’s color coded now? Not so much IMO. Most things are keyed however, so you can’t really plug them in wrong unless you square-peg-round-hole it. Master slave jumpers were easy too, unless you got some drive missing the label and it wasn’t on the PCB. Iirc, SCSI is so much more fun than IDE.

PC i built for myself in late 2010 is still going pretty strong, and I’ve had minimal troubleshooting required with it. As long as you buy quality components, you generally won’t have any issues. Compatability issues are very few and far between these days as well. Once you build one, you’ll never go back to off the

depends on the case and desired mobo. They don’t always have all the standoffs, or sometimes they’re configured for just one style. Regardless, movable standoffs are better than non as they allow for more config options.

I’d say wait until you take a long drive, but I’m not sure there’s such a thing there, haha.

Right, but in real parks, you get traffic jams from people standing around in the way or whatever. You can see people getting clumped together and moving slowly in places.

Ah. Well always fun to keep old tech around now and then.

Krogers / Frys does around me.

They didn’t want to kill a dead and dying beast? Better to just let it go naturally? Maybe they just know they’re electric deathtraps?

I know people that would fail at stacking bowls...

5.25 Floppy? AFAIK just need a legacy floppy card, unless there’s something special about the drive (is it SCSI? I bet it’s SCSI)

I’ve never understood this complaint. I can understand GPU’s, they can sound like a jet taking off when taxed, but overall fan noise should really just fade into the background. If hearing fans bothers you, best to go with larger slower fans, as they still move plenty of air and make less noise. Also, getting a steel

I’ll be honest. In the long run overkill is generally better than not enough.

Yeah, Texas from...IIRC El Paso to roughly Dallas or San Antonio (depending if you take the 10 or 20 at the split) is 80 because there is literally NOTHING there. There’s barely even scrub.

I live in Phoenix. The 10 between here and Tucson is 75 until you get near either town respectively, then it drops to 65. Parts are also now a “safety corridor”, which is a 0 tolerance speeding zone. As for how often you get to drive that speed, depends on the time of day. There are a lot of commuters between Phoenix

I agree. Frankly, they just don’t look good on most modern vehicles imo.
