Ah. Well there’s probably a few reasons for the speed bump if offloaded to another drive.

TBH, don’t believe you. Did some quick searching, seeing about 170-180 MBps, which is pretty good overall for a spinning drive. That said, Sata 2 is 300 MBps. Sata 3 is 600 MBps. Most SSD’s are 550 MBps+. USB 2.0 is 60 MBps (you’d notice a difference here vs internal), while 3.0 is about 640MBps (5Gbps), 3.1 tops out

The hell it does. I have a raid 10 in my system and it is most certainly not SSD fast. Faster than a standalone HDD? sure. SSD? no way in hell.

Technically it should be faster. That said, unless using a SSD, you probably won’t notice a difference. Even then, it would be minimal. Standard HDD? doesn’t matter, neither can max out the bus.

Of course! =D haha

But I like my Camaro better?

With 40+ people in a raiding group, managing who gets what is a PITA, hence DKP. Might not be the last time joe schmoe runs the place, but it might be the last time he runs with your group. The point of DKP was to allow people to earn loot, and rewards those that stuck around and showed up. I raided from Vanilla up

We actually had a group of people do that in my first guild. They died, we survived until Wrath until we just couldn’t recruit people (Blizz screwed Mal’Ganis alliance when they allowed free xfers off the server probably 70% of the Alliance pop bailed)

ugh, DKP. screw DKP. Never seen so much drama over drops.

I’m sorry, there’s no reason for 5GB save files. That’s poor optimization, plain and simple. The point optimizing code is making it run as quickly as possible using as few resources as possible. A lot of programmers are lazy, and like to compile in entire packages of functions rather than just the functions they use,

Keep in mind, that’s the cost for just the chips alone. Factor in R&D and manufacturing on Nintendo’s side and the cost’s add up. Now, I know they don’t sell at a loss like Sony and MS do so that also probably factors in here a bit.

This is true. Textures and audio tend to fill most of the file space.

Well, included storage is a bit of a catch, and that much NAND storage is pricey if you want quality stuff (or at least, it would have increased the price significantly). As for the bloat, that mostly comes down to the programmers and optimizing their code. Thanks to the lack of space “concerns” on most modern

HOW?! Seriously, how bad a programmer do you have to be to make a save file take this much space? It’s just....wow, holy crap that’s huge for a save file. AFK there’s only 450 players or so (30 teams x 15 per team). Even including say...15 stats per player, that’s about 6750 lines of text for variables, + the say..20

Completely understandable, I’m still upset with Andromeda. (I haven’t been able to bring myself to finish it TBH) That said, the DLC is still very good.

Trust me, you do. It really sets things up for the next game, and it’s really REALLY good IMO. That said, make sure you’ve done everything else in the core game before you do. It’s a one way path once you commit.

I wish you could. Fuck that guy. Seriously though, at the end of it you have a great understanding of WHY he’s a huge douche. Doesn’t make me hate him less though.

Wow, that blows man.

Of course, everything within reason.

When I still had the 01 Camaro, I had a dude in an F150 run me into the center median. Didn’t even notice me until I laid on the horn at him. At least he got out to check on me, but his response was he “didn’t see me at all”. My car was bright red, and the 01's were boats. HE pulled out into traffic from a parking
