you hit on one of my favorite aspects of Dark Souls - like, it’s ludicrous that a human could be wielding one of the great swords, but the animations they use that go along with it are actually super realistic. the character’s whole body contorts around as if using their bodyweight as a counter to the sword.

i’ve not - my impression was that it was a little too god-of-war-y, didn’t have the precise timings or weighty feeling of the Souls games. how’d you say it compares?
