You don’t need to have a mental illness. Plenty of black people with no mental health issues are getting murdered by the police.

For all the faults of Washington DC, it does have a good program to deal with mental illness. Many cops are trained to deal with persons with mental illness and they try to deescalate and hospitalize, not imprison, those with mental illness.

My French friend would be very offended by the picture used for this piece. He acted completely confused when I once said something to him about chocolate croissants, and insisted there was no such thing. The pastry I described (like the one in the picture) is just a pain au chocolat.
