I think when Au Bon Pain first got started they made their sandwiches with croissants, which was new to the US at the time. (Come to think of it I don’t think I’ve ever had a sandwich made with a croissant in France, so maybe today it would still be new to the French, but I digress.)

I learned about the magic of adding bacon to egg salad a couple of decades ago. My thought was, “If I like bacon, eggs, and toast so much, why not have it all at once in a combo?!”
