Who knows, all I know is that these games cost A LOT to make and you have to wonder sometimes if we are screaming at people who wouldn’t have been able to make a game like this and make it profitable if it didn’t have micro transactions as part of the offering. But then you see AAA game publishers like CD Projekt…
Oh I get it, you’re an EA executive. That’s why you’re so hostile towards people that are justifiably angry with EA and cynical about what they’ll do in the future. Now it makes total sense why you’re a complete ass hole.
What part of the word “temporary” are you having trouble understanding? This isn’t over at all.
This is a good move but it really should be a permanent one. This is a full priced game with a season pass. Applying a free to play model to the game is outrageous. I hope, however, that this sends a message that his loot box crap won’t fly. I doubt it, though. EA will just reinstate it and publishers will keep trying…
Agreed 100%. No good can come from death threats or even just being a shitty person to the developers. The last thing we need to do is feed the stereotype that all gamers are angry little man babies with entitlement issues. If we hope to actually make things better we have to be adults. Thanks for making that clear,…
I’ll leapfrog here to say that there’s a line between advocacy and something else. Battlefront II devs were talking about receiving death threats today on Twitter. I get that folks are upset... I’ve been pretty vocal too... but I want to use this as a general opportunity to remind folks to approach these issues…
I don’t have a gambling problem, I do have a problem with f2p mechanics in a game which costs money. I’m not an idiot, these things make money so companies will put them in, I get that. I personally won’t buy games that do, and regard the people that buy them and ruin gaming by doing so, as dicks. Not sure what’s hard…
Sorry, but this whole multiplayer system is garbage, take the micro-transactions out completely and its still garbage. They need to trash the whole card system if they want to get me in.
“Look guys, we changed it so it’s less bad. We’re the good guys now!” No you’re fucking not. It’s still a grindfest so you can sell lootboxes. Everyone who pre-orders this/buys this in the first month is a dick for enabling them.
Press X to pay respects.
I wonder, with Guardians and this new Thor being critically praised for their use of humor, are superheroes supposed to be adapted as not being taken seriously, or as near-full on comedies? Personally I’d be a bit bummed if that’s the case, because while a loooot of superhero movies are angsty or overly-serious, I…
I’m just waiting for cars like the Porsche Mission E or whatever BMW, MB, Volvo, Audi, etc have tucked up their sleeve. I think it will be very hard to Tesla to compete in a few years, but props to them for starting the trend and continuing to stay afloat.
Yeah, but didn’t the Madden and FIFA teams have to start using Frostbite this past year? I’m sure it was tough but they made it work. Why was this such an impossible task for Visceral?
There is a third possibility, and it’s the one I’d be the most concerned about -- they stay, get paid, and do such a crappy job that in the end much of PR still is without power even after paying this company. That’s what I’d be worried about, hiring an unknown company with no obvious experience for a suspiciously…
After the finale I’m pretty sure this IS the real Beth. It doesn’t make sense for Rick to create a fake Beth who would be aware of the fact that Rick can make fake Beths. He wouldn’t give her that knowledge because he’s smart enough to know it would result in her having an identity crisis.
I always found it miraculous that any show could be as funny as Rick and Morty and also manage to be super thoughtful or expose genuine aspects of the human experience at the same time…I’ve never been disappointed with it, and it’s not because I’m mindless in my fandom, but rather because I think its lowest moments…
Disagree. This season was pretty clearly all about how much Rick needs his family, despite everything he says or does that is contrary to that. While, to me, every other season made it seem like he is only going to stick around until he gets bored or till shit hits the fan; The end of season 2 plus the whole season…
