The Sierra Denali is just the GMC equivalent of the LTZ Silverado

Woah you have an LS1 swapped Volvo? Is it a 740? I've been wanting to do that for my 960!

How is my RWD I6 Volvo Station wagon 6-10% Jalop?!

Ahhh that makes sense.

I've read somewhere that you can keep cranking the boost in a diesel engine without adding more fuel, but in a petrol engine you need to maintain a strict stoichiometric ratio between the fuel and the air. Wouldn't that make it unlike a diesel?

People seem to think that the EcoBoost's fuel economy (which is so similar to the Chevy anyways) somehow makes up for the increased maintenance on the engine too. No way, SBC all day

Because making a truck engine much smaller in displacement and adding high pressure turbos makes it much more complicated and less durable. It's no secret that the SBC is time tested in design and has much less moving parts. At the end of the day, Ford is trying to squeeze the same amount of energy from petrol as

I still think it's amazing that a GMC Sierra with 4x4 and an OHV 5.3L V8 gets 1 MPG better than my Volvo 960!

Yeah but GM is Gubment Motors! /s

Afroduck knew the statute, but he posted it anyways

I can't imagine they'll be particularly durable either. I would much rather have a time tested SBC than a DOHC, small displacement, turbo charged truck engine. And the 6.2 makes more power than the EB with only 1 MPG less. And the top of the line Silverado weighs only 81 pounds more than the top of the line Aluminum

Don't worry, I called something a "Viscous cycle" on Oppo instead of a "Vicious cycle" which prompted the joke: "What do you call it when you pour molasses on a bike? A viscous cycle"

I can't be so sure. Toyota and Honda have pretty much stagnated innovation, yet their cars are still selling like hotcakes simply because they are a Honda/Toyota. When you get people who will only buy a Toyota and they won't cross shop a GM car because "It'll break down!" "It'll get recalled" or "I had a Buick back in

I doubt they'll be saying "What a though car."

Don't forget Hyundai

Wow, I have no idea how I forgot about that. Touché.

No it has a 1 in the name, they moved the previous 1 series to the 2 series

I feel like Mazda BMW would be a great combination. They both try to deliver the best driving experience (well at least they used to) and BMW has the tech and the cash to turn Mazda into a well selling mainstream competitor
