That's what I love about the show. That, and it feels like the kind of program that I'd have LOVED as a kid (and, obviously I do, as an adult). It doesn't come off as condescending, conservative children's fare. It's very intelligent stuff, and goes where it needs to go, even if it's a dark place. Kids deserve it.

I greatly enjoyed the episode precisely BECAUSE it felt like classic S1 Adventure Time. Felt good.

Aye; it's pretty much just a shorter version of the full trailer. The music, in that context, fit much better there. *shrug*

I loved the somber rendition of the theme… in the teaser.

They had to clean up; they're shooting a movie there after all. ;)

It wasn't about the supposed shock value of saying 'fuck'; the gag was about saying "fuuuuckkyooooou" in an "Oh, come ON." sort of way when something is revealed. Note the context in which it's said each time.

This two-parter meant a lot to me. With Stan just drifting through life, greatly depressed, watching everyone getting to be happy and just being completely out of sync with it all… and then when finally starts to cope, he has THAT ripped away from him and it all unravels while he watches helplessly. And that ending
