I like Chevy engines in the right application, but this is Chevelle levels of boring. Why not try and find a wrecked Fiesta with a 3-cyl Ecoboost and get your Frankenstein on?

It must run on souls, to sound like that. That's probably the real reason for the Great War- to pro

I used to DD a 95 Roadmaster wagon, I feel you. Very gently did one ease onto the divided highway, lest you find yourself pointing the wrong way. That car also needed about half the county to come to a stop in deep snow.

I can dig that, and I'd love to see a small car arms race. Better than another F-ing croAlso, weird to see my old hometown mentioned.

Seems so. Wonder what kind of focus groups

>what this is, is a Cadillac program manager and his marketing buddies moving to NYC because he convinced someone it was a good idea.

I like the car but it does look kind of like a giant rolling doorstop with that rather ungainly rear.

Ditto on AMC. I'd love to see a 'scrappy underdog' purveyor of compacts and actual small 4x4s. No eight zone climate control and OEM infotainment, just honest cars and trucks to pick up where old Saturn left off and eat Jeep's lunch. I know of plenty of people unhappy with the selection of vehicles in the sub $20-22k

Yes- but '70-'72 get a pass in my book.

It doesn't do much to kill the 'pervy basement-dwelling gamer' sterotypes when at least a quarter or more of the mods I see for Bethesda games are for making some or all female characters into DoA Volleyball rejects, amongst other things.

It would help if some people could distinguish between sweet old iron like the above and jackasses in lifted Excursions and Super Duty F250s that will never see anything but pavement.

It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow.

If the fact Raph posted something that relates both to cars and bicycles gets you all hot and bothered, take it up with him. Based on how often you post you couldn't possibly being doing much of value this time of day, so why not bug him that rather than continue to try and demonstrate just how pissed off and tough

I'm solely a mountain biker, but I like cars. It is possible to enjoy more than one type of hobby, you know.

That speed on a bike is somewhat nerve-rattling, but assuming no sudden patches of sand, water or wobble-of-death, also very exhilarating. I would use bigger rotors on those brakes, though.

Back in the day, many of the auto magnates (notably the Fords) collected art, with many of them loaning their pieces to a public trust so that all could enjoy them. Many also donated funds for the museum to purchase it's own pieces for display. I don't think we would see such altruism out of today's <i>nouveau

It's a big company, though I will note the little bits I've been privy to working at one of their suppliers and having a relative in a totally different area surprises me with split difference is attitude and culture.

I've not heard that term before, but it fits many cases of buying more car/truck than one needs. I can sort of justify mine because A) I need to haul lots of things/people fairly often and B) it was a hand-me-down.

Among layperson carbuyers there's an ingrained misconception about the utility and safety in regards to vehicle size, not to mention the 'prestige' that comes with driving truck shaped objects like crossovers.
