Eh, I don't know, I thought it was a pretty good example… There's obviously more to it than that one clip, but it's a good picture of part of the change that's taken place.

I'm pretty sure it was intentional. Alex Hirsch has professed his love for The Simpsons in multiple interviews, and I've heard him describe the show as "The Simpsons meets The X-Files," which is probably the greatest description of a show I've ever heard.

Review and Fargo were my two favorite shows of 2014, so this is one of the greatest things that's ever happened to me.

He also said some things that African American-y wasn't ready to hear either.

Being completely honest, episode 7 is where it gets really good again, and it's great until the very end. Definitely worth a second chance.
