you are wrong about that. there is a rising sentiment that the West needs to be “strong”. That means war. You are not understanding how precarious this shit is.

You’ve described exactly how I feel right now. It’s like I’m just waiting at this point- for what I don’t know exactly and I don’t know what to do about it, but it’s like an unstoppable pressure of hate and violence is all around. People aren’t necessarily acting on it yet, or not in large numbers, but it’s there.
Tomato face is one of our long-time trolls. They always pick tomato-related screen names, and they have a very distinctive trolling style, namely saying things that are incredibly stupid but just subtle enough that it’s not immediately obvious that they’re being dumb on purpose.
The time of “never here” is over. I’ve realized how important it is to be cognizant of the past and observant of the present in order to protect the future. There’s been too much belittlement lately for drawing parallels to scary times in history- that needs to stop- that’s how we forget.
He’s the fucking saddest most pathetic troll in the world who thinks its clever to constantly switch handles, all of which are kinds of tomato. That’s how sad he is. SAD. Dump is watching his Twitter feed and going “I am not this guy, at least.”
I just thought this would be a good time to remind everyone that Kristallnacht happened when, after a tide of rising antisemitism in Germany, a Polish Jew shot and killed a German diplomat.
Considering the account was started today, I’m voting troll.
It’s a troll. It has to be.
Nice, the city in France you dolt.
Some deranged meatbag drove a truck through a Bastille Day crowd in Nice, France you daft cockwomble.
Terrorists most certainly do use trucks, as illustrated by one of the most high-profile attacks of this year (in Nice). This was an attack.
Some BBC reporters were talking about the Christmas markets being likely targets on the radio two days ago. I remember thinking the entire idea just sounded too grim to contemplate.
... You can’t be serious.
yeah, it is heartbreaking. those markets are such cozy, joyful places. so awful.
You dont watch the news much, huh?
that was exactly my point when i said “they really know how to get to people”.
at a christmas market, less than a week before christmas?
“A terrorist attack carried out by a Tunisian citizen driving a truck killed 84 people on Bastille Day this year.”
Terrorists also use trucks. See the Nice attacks earlier this year.
Everything is terrible, and getting worse.
