We’re not talking about dynamics, we’re talking about aesthetics.

Someone offered to sell my brother-in-law a 99 Grand Cherokee for pretty cheap. I told him he couldn’t run away fast enough.
The Maxima is nearly a carbon copy of its concept, so there’s precedent.
While that’s true, it doesn’t mean the Hilux is soft. It looks very much like a truck, as do most of the rest of the mid-sizers we don’t get here.
Seeing as Grand Prix is a motorsports term that means “grand prize”, it’d be a little silly if Pontiac named a model Prix.
Well even the Tacoma, US Colorado, and Canyon are softer than the Tundra, Silverado, and Sierra. NA full-size trucks are absolutely absurdly macho, but our mid-sizers all fit in nicely with their overseas counterparts.
The problem with the Maxima isn’t faithfulness to its concept, the problem is the concept is ugly. If the production version of the V-motion is as faithful to its concept as the Maxima is to its, Nissan might actually have an attractive car in their lineup.
If Nissan can translate that into production well, they might actually have an attractive car in their lineup.
I think we have different definitions of “soft”. Out of all of the vehicles pictured, the only ones that look like cars are the pre-facelift Chevy, the Mitsubishi, and the Mazda. The rest look pretty truck-like to me.
That seems reasonable. A lot of people seem to be concerned about overlap with the Explorer, but the Utility segment seems to be all about overlapping models right now, so I don’t see it as being anything out of the ordinary.
If the new Bronco is the same as the Everest, all signs point to it being the next generation Ranger/Everest, not the current truck.
This is easily the most accurate description I’ve seen yet.
I’m just putting this on a loop in the background so I can listen to all of those lovely exhaust noises for the rest of the day.
Man, it must be dusty in here. I think I got something in my eye.
That’s 117 HP per cylinder!
Or they activate cheat mode.
Unless I am quite mistaken, this is actually the popular opinion.

What is Chevy’s deal with cinnamon rolls? I mean, I love cinnamon rolls too, but putting cinnamon roll-inspired design elements on all four corners of a car seems a bit excessive.
