When I was a wee little kid, my mom used to use bluing after bathing our Westie. Same principle, dirtier target.

I use about 1/2 teaspoon of Oxyclean and let it soak full of hot water. I discovered that loosening the filter and letting it float around helps clean both the filter and the area underneath it. Be sure to rinse it REALLY well, else your tea will taste funny. Trust me.

One at the office, one at home. And I recently discovered how easily OxyClean cleans the build-up away. (Patina on tea pots is one thing, but when it clogs the filter at the bottom of the ingenuiTEA...)

Teavana sells good teas, but they also really like their teas. With the exception of their custom blends, you can find comparable elsewhere for less.

Amazon can also be a good source for teas. We get Davidson's Bulk Teas of some of our staples. Quality can vary by variety, but we've generally been happy.

Camping breakfast is one of the few times in life that I use EggBeaters.

I only see that if I'm logged into my Amazon account in incognito mode. Otherwise, Amazon doesn't show me any indication - in incognito mode - that I've even been there to shop before.

In the mean time, it appears that only Nexus or Google Edition devices can download it from the Play store. There are probably a few more, but my kitkat-running Galaxy S3 isn't compatible. Durnit.

I was going to make the same comment about the ATM. I don't carry cash. I've never been able to be as disciplined with cash as I am with a debit card. Haven't figured out why yet, and haven't had the time. So I just don't carry cash.

We have several catbeds. Unfortunately, the cats refuse to listen to the logic of why they should sleep in them rather than on the nice, comfy queen-sized bed.

I use the sawdust from my dad's shop, but same deal. I keep an old pan and ladle around for just this purpose. My dad's working with dense hardwoods and has some very fine grain sawdust. These suckers burn for 7-10 minutes.

I signed up with Simple for mostly the same reasons. I get an allowance automatically transferred from our joint account every Friday. If I want to save, I can. If I want to spend, I can. And the app quickly tells me what I have available to spend.

Well, it predates fiberglass (glass wool) insulation, PVC piping, Romex wiring, household air conditioning, and forced-air heating systems. It also may well contain asbestos or other harmful materials no longer used in home construction.

While I agree on the technicality that tax credits aren't money taken and due back, the poorly expressed point I was trying to make is that withholdings aren't the only factor in what comes back as a "refund."

It isn't NECESSARILY awesome. But it's also not necessarily something you could have done differently. Our "refund" is artificially inflated by the child tax credit. We can't opt to not have that withheld.

None of the drawers in our kitchen would work for this, unfortunately.

This hadn't occurred to me, but it makes sense. We already use one Gmail account for our Google Play purchases. So the account's already on our phones and tablets.

Paint lasts longer if you transition it to smaller containers. You can keep house paint around for a long time if you pour it out of the 1-gallon can into, say, mason jars that seal up tight and have little room for air.
