@FauxReal: I had to pay property taxes for 2010 recently. I could mail them or deliver them by hand. Online wasn't an option.

VOTE: Google Reader App (unfortunately).
I "already know" SOME of what I need to work on when I start my day. But my boss gets up at 4:30 in the morning. The first thing I do when I get in the office is check to see what she's added to my list.
@Jim Fletcher: CM6.1 on my Aria was a memory hog and only ran smoothly when overclocked. That, of course, drained the battery like crazy.
Unfortunately, free file options tend to exclude you if you've got any self-employment income.
@josh97: Been there. Fortunately, there's a custom ROM with an overclocking kernel for my Aria. So I can actually underclock and save power.
Hardware issue: RAM size.
@Jim Fletcher: The Liberated ROM for Aria will do it for individual contacts when the original ROM wouldn't, but I can't find a setting for making it the default. Annoying "feature."
@carleton: SetCPU helps, too. Throttles down the processor when the screen is off, and drastically extended battery life.
@Jimmy Tango: IANAL, but people have been using copies of emails they've sent or received in lawsuits for years. My own emails have been printed and used in a law suit - and that was 1996.
@lockaar: Ain't that the truth‽
@BtEO: Aesthetic choices are often bound by the rules of the style guide you're expected to use. The APA manual probably has something to say about Oxford commas. . . but my copy is at the office and I've the day off.
Two spaces after a period: Why you should actually do it - because the style guide you're supposed to follow requires it.
@TheChadd: Agreed. Ms. Marto beat the two-space rule into my head in 1986. It's been solidly stuck there ever since.
@FrankenPC: We've got IKEA book cases that we've owned for 6+ years. They've moved halfway across the country - twice. The shelves are bowing a little, but they're hardly "on the verge of falling apart."
It's like "Rescue and Recover" for non-thinkpad users. Cool.
@B4UTRUST: Our house is wired for cable. Someone who lived here before us stuck an aerial antenna in the attic. I've tied it into the coaxial lines, and we get EXCELLENT reception.
@seth.gl: Someone, at least once, paid directly for the material at the library?
@drongch: True, but...
@danburd: I'm sorry. Could you repeat that? I got a phone call just as you were typing, and my speakers buzzed.
