Grillmeisters I've read who promote multiple flips have all suggested that it produces a juicier burger. And I tend to agree.

It's not that unique an idea. I remember seeing miner's leather hats that fell into water deep under ground. When they were rediscovered 80 years or so later, they were petrified.

@nicktennear: Caps are made of a different type of plastic (Plastic #5) than the bottles (Plastic #1), requiring different methods to process. Some localities only accept limited types of plastics.
