No 3G data? That's not necessarily a shortcoming. I don't NEED constant mobile data access, and I can do a lot with the $720 I'd have to pay for a data plan over a 2-year contract.

@Duckspwn: Depends on the company. I've spoken with people in both situations. The guy from Raytheon couldn't even have IR on his Palm handheld.
@dagwud: "owned," even. Hard to type when you're thinking about not using a bandaged finger.
@Kraken: I've own or seen a number of laptops that step down the processor speed in the absence of a battery. Not all, mind you. But enough to check to see if a current laptop suffers the same fate.
@JadeEmperor: What if your BOSS considers those sites as "worth visiting" as part of your job?
@detoys: So... you'd like a potted ent?
@lostarchitect: That's good for email. What about flash drives or network drives?
@earlycj5: Agreed. Arguing that it's either or is a false dichotomy. Both is an acceptable and functional answer.
@HerrWulf: There's also the "good neighbor" philosophy. The virus in a document might not infect/affect your Mac, but why be a carrier?
@UnMicD: That's true. But the 1995 Civic tops the list of most stolen cars in the US.
@amcglamry: I have to laugh about the Russian connection. My English cursive was at its best when I was learning to write in Cyrillic in college. Except, I kept getting my lowercase G and D mixed up, so that, for example, dog became gor.
@wildeyedboy:Cursive probably arose less from being easier and faster to write and more about the mechanics of inkwells and quills.
@Robert112: That's not a "cursive problem." That's a "penmanship problem." I have just as much trouble reading non-cursive notes from some folks I know. Their "printing" looks like "a bunch of squiggles."
@olliebean: I disagree on the menu bar, because I already hide mine.
@ras07: Are you sure and have you tried it?
@ScottTFrazer: Like many things with computers, it's not a "secure solution" right out of the box.
@jameslheard: If you've got OpenDNS set up as the DNS server on your router, then both IP addresses and domain names get blocked.
Eschew excessive speech disfluencies!
@Shashank Agarwal: Actually, $3 a month isn't too bad either.
@Jon Wilson: It's not just the heat. It's the humidity. It may be cooler outside, but it may also be more humid.
