I don’t know too much about the situation, or the laws involved, but I don’t think much of a long established hierarchy that has historically marginalized their group, for no reason but their gender.

I’m guessing it has to do with where the money is going. 14.5m to the Archdiocese, vs. 15.5m to the Nuns. With the latter, my guess is that they’d fund their new quarters; the former...rely on handouts from the Archdiocese with whom they are clearly on bad footing.

Ditto; my working hypothesis is that there is a troll posing as a regular, above average commenter whose been followed/recommended by the writing staff who enables the others. Or some equally tinfoily alternative.

This is a fab post, but the images are not serving these excellent descriptions. It would be great if each image in the bar could be expanded, one at a time, allowing us to zoom in and revel in the detailing on each dress. Here would be the opportunity to label each photo w the individual’s name ...for those not…

Not only that, but with the multi-image bars, it’s impossible to zoom in to see any details!
