I just finished season 1 yesterday. Margaret was kind of a brat and obnoxious. So was Philip. I *kind* of see both their points, but at the same time, I feel like they both should have known since it is all steeped in tradition and ‘the way things are done’. I *hated* how Philip and Margaret threw that Margaret was

“when she saw the sign, she attempted to locate a store manager, but was unable to find one.”

Someone’s radicalised the Borrowers!

The couple seem like the sort of people who:

At least the photographer managed to create memories that’ll last forever for the couple.

Yeah, my grandmother is 95, living in a nursing home thinking my dad (her son) is her husband and is living with “some woman (My mom, they divorced over ten years ago) and don’t you think I wouldn’t find out.”

You’d think our leaders could at least offer our children a modest proposal.

I try not to judge them too harshly. What they are going through is so, so painful, and I can understand at least a little that they don’t want to let go, no matter what the doctors say. That said, they needed to face reality, and sooner than now.

They won’t. Now it’ll be weeks or months of US GOP twats using this as ammo against ACA/Obamacare as because “this is what SOCIALIZED!!!! healthcare does”.

True story, I dated a guy who lived down the street from the ice cream truck depot in the West Village. Around 5pm, every summer evening, they all roll out as an adorably coordinated sugar-fueled cheer army. The jingles were always delightful because even though they were loud, they just sound like happiness.

Well, I took the heat for you, cuz there’s a LOT of it.

Not necessarily a danger, but unfit. And yes that is a valid reason for removal from the home. My wife is a social worker, I’m a therapeutic mentor we’ve both worked with mentally handicapped parents as well as as abusive ones. In both situations there are salvageable cases as well utterly ruinous ones.

We need to call this what it is: intentionally sabatoging the health insurance of potentially millions of Americans because the GOP is still committed to hating Obama at any cost. He is not “letting” anything fail. The GOP already orchestrated the lack of choice/high premiums debacle by passing an amendment to the ACA

I thought of this too. Like just because they’re scumbags doesnt mean they’re not victims of a crime, they don’t have to be ‘perfect victims’ to be worth protecting

I’m not claiming lying is ethical. I’m saying that according to the ethics of this site, using scare quotes for people whose sexual details have been exposed by hackers is hypocritical.

Using scare quotes around the word “victims” just because of you don’t approve of their sexual practices is simply slut-shaming. It’s jarring to see it in a roundup that also includes sympathetic references to two revenge porn victims. Either you’re pro-slut-shaming or you’re anti. Pick one.

The fact that no one booked hotel rooms is AMAZING to me. Like what a perfect representation of how awful this government is.

While the effort is appreciated, the process itself should perhaps remain behind closed doors.

I have a mutt we got from a shelter - we reckon he’s a staffy crossed with something bigger (what, exactly, we have no idea), and his ears look like they were taken off a different dog entirely and stuck on the wrong place on his head. My mother-in-law, when we showed her his photo from the shelter, said he was “the

I’m guessing (I don’t know for a fact) that he used the rules that are supposed to be for political calls only and then used that enhanced accessibility to call people for the movie. My vague understanding of what happened with the beautiful do not call list is that the calls you are getting now are from or routed
