It’s a tough call right now. Standard procedure says throw away the mask when done because it could be contaminated. But throw in a mask shortage and you have a new ball game.

Yes, you are very correct! Only touch your ppe to throw it away when done, then wash your hands immediately

The filter material should stop any droplets coming through the surgical mask, but if you have virus particles on the edge of your mask, they can certainly make their way though those open spots on the side since fresh air will be coming in though the sides when you breathe. The idea of the surgical mask isn’t to

I wouldn’t call someone an ass for not wearing gloves. PPE must to be changed whenever you move to a different area in order for it to be effective. If the intent is to keep the bad thing off your hands, they won’t make any difference if you are bringing stuff (potentially) carrying the bad thing into your house.

While I am certainly not board certified, I’ve done my fair share in the research world for survival surgeries. If you need absolute sterility, obviously outside is not going to do the job, but for this circumstance, it should work, and best not to waste more masks if we can in order to save them for those who do

Mask, no gloves. (insert pic of me rolling eyes at people handling their phones with gloves on). Boxes get wiped down when we get home, reusable bags and masks go outside for a few days to let any potential virus on them die. Nothing goes to the store that’s not necessary (phones). Clothes go straight in the washing

Cera Ve if I need to use my hands, or burts bee’s hand salve if they’ve transformed into a lizard hide, but you can’t use your hands for a couple hours after putting that stuff on

I would like to see somewhere that is stated

68 billion education

If you think we spend too much on education, you need to look at what the military gets for a budget. Those are some seriously messed up priorities

As others have said recycling is going to be a big one, but maybe even bigger is reusing them in non mobile applications like the tesla power wall.

I DD a 500e with ~80 miles of highway range 30 miles each way, charge overnight on 120V and full the next day. Its easy, cheap, and fun

I DD a 500e with <100 miles of range with a 30 mile daily commute each way, 200 miles is plenty

If a kid asks why grammar is important, show them this

Google is also giving them out the google fi subscribers, “until supplies last”, not sure if they’ve run out yet

That’s my concern, since my TV is used 70% gaming/30% streaming

Couldn’t agree more. Save the gas for the fun stuff

Just sold my fiesta for a fiat 500, I guess I’m proof

My opinion is that the longer intervals alone make the price difference worth it since I do it myself, the extra protection is gravy
