I do, too!

I think it’s catching on more in Japan as well, given there are an increasing number of Japanese language-only games on Steam.

You mean a Palmetto bug? Technically not a cockroach, but a nightmarish monstrosity only fire can kill.

But the original folks are still out there (well, most of them). Offer them a 25% raise to come back? Might be cheaper than retraining.

Seems like, with careful planning, supply chains could be placed ‘in reserve’ and a process put in place to ensure rapid restart.

I find it hard to believe that voter fraud (at least in Washington) is as minimal as many believe:

“While voters must attest to citizenship upon registering online or registering to vote at the Department of Licensing Office, Washington state doesn’t require proof of citizenship. Therefore elections officials say the

I agree. Facebook is a very programmer-centric company, and a policy like this seems very... I’m not sure binary is the right word I’m looking for. Very analytical, when probably a subjective touch is needed.

You need to ask Facebook. My guess is that they chose a policy that would ban generalized statements about any race & gender.

The cited article mentioned Facebook’s ‘algorithm’, but I’m not convinced that’s the only mechanism involved. I think reported comments are reviewed before they are removed. I’ve seen inconsistency on what is allowed and what isn’t (though not with some content, like that involving violence).

I interviewed at FB

Then perhaps you should stop asking. No skin off my back either way.

The difference with your opinion is that it’s based on feeling, which is a pretty poor foundation to lay an argument on. Mine is based on stated company policy contained within the cited article.

But, should you still believe Facebook to be the racist

No, but Facebook would allow it. :P I never mentioned what I’m okay with, but feel free to ask if you’re curious.

It comes down to the wording. The cited article mentioned comments about ‘radical Muslims’, which was deemed okay because it was a subset of a protected class (not all Muslims). I doubt the person writing the comment was referring to ISIS only, though.

I suppose it depends on where you’re commenting. If you’re on RT’s page, hatred against Jews flows.

The article explains the policy. It applies to generalized statements of all races. I complained about statements calling for the death of Israeli Zionists, but they weren’t taken down either.

According to Facebook policies, ‘kill Muslims’ is not okay. ‘Kill radical Muslims’ is. Also the statement ‘black people’ are racist is considered unacceptable.

Their policy is not racist. This article buried the explanation of the policy. White men and black men fall into the same protected category, as they apply to two protected classes each. Black/white children/teenagers/whatever are not, because that is a subset of a protected class.

I don’t know if you’re intentionally misrepresenting or not; you did bury explanation of the policy, which applies to all races, deep down in your article. White men under the standards Facebook applies are in the same protected class as black men.

“based on race, sex, gender identity, religious affiliation, national

Why am I not surprised this happened in an ex-Soviet nation?

There are plenty of white Mexicans. What is the criteria for dividing white from Mexican?

“Honestly, just support the need to have a good time and feel comfortable.”

I agree, but if folks are uncomfortable having folks of another skin color, no matter what skin color that may be, that’s not really the country we want to

I think we shouldn’t encourage archaic spelling styles, and instead insist new words spelled in a way that makes it obvious to their pronunciation or that they are pronounced how they appear to be.
