It’s a mesh pool cover.  The pool already has water filled to the top and what is seen as water on top of cover is actually the pool water transitioning through the mesh pool cover.

I just had to nitpick on this part of the article.

Man that’s great advertising for the pool cover company.

High satire can be a difficult watch on TV as it’s easy to blur the lines between comedy and just being shitty. But I think our Chancellor has some layers here so I’m hoping to see it develop as the season goes.

The car can’t move. Now instead of just remedying the situation, the cops create a situation where the protestor has to pay to have their vehicles repaired or they have to pay to get their vehicles out of the impound lot.

Sounds like a textbook case of cops following their training to issue confusing commands and deploy questionable tactics.

Norfolk Southern, No Fuck Given.

Yuki was within DRS range of KMag when the call was made, so I get why he was upset. Once they swapped places, Riccardo never got as close as Yuki had been.

Yuki (which is misspelled in the article, btw) and Ricciardo are absolutely coming together this year. Yuki is quickly resorting to his hothead self now that he’s so (rightfully) mad about Ricciardo coming in and seemingly having preference for the RBR seat next year.

The Thatcher-esque lisp is perfection. This show is like a pitch black Veep and I love it.

I’d watch Winslet read the phonebook, but this was a wonderful delight. The range she showed in just the first episode was remarkable and it was so enjoyable to watch her flex her comedic talents, which have always been apparent (see, also: Extras, among other things), but never the most prominent part of her career.

Sounds like F1 will soon have an all sportswashing calendar. It’s race towards irrelevance continues.

Do you think when you have lunch with Daniel Day-Lewis, he’s normal-ish?  Or is he as up his own ass about, say, ordering a panini as he is about acting?

Was that the one where the cops open a fake fried chicken place to use as surveillance, but then the restaurant becomes popular? If so, I agree, and I will also check this one out.

Extreme Job was really good, so I’ll check this out.

Oh I cant wait for them to drop some of the greatest traditional tracks in Europe for some human rights abusing dictator with a terrible street course.

Shame.

Have you watched Upstart Crow? Starring David Mitchell as William Shakespeare, you could consider it a spiritual sequel to Blackadder II (especially since it has the same creator).

Getting a bit of an Upstart Crow vibe from this, which can only be a good thing! (That also featured Noel Fielding as the composer Thomas Morley.)

Looking forward to this. Tamsin Grieg is a national treasure.
