I don’t know whether Americans - or even large parts of Britain - know, but Kinnear is one of those guys everyone has been in awe of forever in theatre, particularly Shakespeare, even though TV and cinema viewers largely haven’t heard of him. [I’ve seen him in Hamlet and Othello (as Iago)]. He’s like a young Mark

The issue here is human stupidty, self-entitlement and lack of respect for dangerous situations. I was a clerk for a class-1 railway, and processed a lot of crossing mishap reports. The most common responses from pedestrians, cyclists, roller bladers, drivers, etc. stupid enough to play chicken with a train, and lucky

People playing chicken with a train is not a tragedy, it’s people paying the price for stupidity. This might be the dumbest of the oh so many dumb takes here.

is it their fault that Floridians keep driving onto train tracks for fun? I guess kinda?

I’ve been using a Polestar 2 as a work rental for the past week or so. It’s a fantastic car to drive, but other factors make it a bit more frustrating

Elon about to blame the driver the two victims for why he can’t buy Twitter.

Good. We need regulation on these so-called self-driving cars. They are not ready for unlimited use on our roads and the public needs to understand that they may be held liable for their failure to properly monitor and drive their vehicles. Tesla seems to be the worst culprit as they actively market their product as a

I’m not sure saying “We grift like everyone else” is the message supporters want to hear... but yes, charity organizations are littered with bad actors and people justifying their unethical acts.

As someone who snagged one of the last just before the pandemic, I’m very surprised not to see the Honda Fit on that list.

It’s an incredibly well done show, imo. But you need to be prepared for the last two episodes. If you know, you know.

Even before the pandemic the US traffic death rate was pretty bad compared to other Western countries.

The Fiat 500 Abarth is probably the most fun car I’ve ever driven. It’s like a homicidal mouse on PCP.

Honda Fit. They really done messed up by never giving us a Si or Type-R version.

Note to self, add Nebraska to all the existing Red States you will never support or go to.  Fucking disgusting, vile humans.

I’m strongly considering an Ioniq 5. I really like the styling of it

It’s easy to forget that Japanese cars followed a similar trajectory. In the 60s and early 70s, Japanese cars were mostly considered miserable economy cars you only bought if you had to. Think cars like the Subaru 360. It wasn’t until the 80s that they started being viewed as high quality. Early Korean cars were a bit

Crazy how Hyundai went from the brand you want to avoid if you can afford to avoid buying their cars, to being a real player in nearly all of their automotive endeavors.

I test drove an Ioniq 5. I loved it. It fixes alot of the issues I have with tesla. Stuff like: HUD, driver cluster, nicer interior, better looks. I am considering the Ioniq as my next car. I am waiting to see what the N version has to offer. I am not really considering the Tesla

I’ve seen a handful of Ioniqs (Ioniques?) the past few weeks, and they look pretty sharp and modern. I saw one EV6 which I assumed was a long-range test or something. Looked fantastic though. I have no doubt that Hyundai can become a major player here, and hey, maybe that’s what we need to get adoption up.

Spoken like a future mass-shooter pretending that /pol/ isn’t an issue.
