Electric stoves are fine. Are they the best? No. Are they as “good” as gas or induction? Probably not. But they do what is asked of them from the 99% of home cooks who aren’t worried about “precision cooking,” or the finer aspects of cooking. We’re not all striving to be Paul Bocuse or Joel Robuchon every night here.

From my experience/locale, it’s an insurance thing. Home insurance with a wood stove or wood fireplace is more expensive because of increased chance of them having to pay out an expensive fire-related claim. Just off the top of my head, I haven’t really noticed any new homes, or homes built in the last 10-20 years…

I would think the offenders involved are taking more than enough pictures and video for social media that the state could sift through all that to figure out who were the innocents and who deserves to have their cars donated to high schools to get worked on and stripped apart by teenagers.
