That’s one side of the coin, I think the other is that it would provide more opportunities for drivers like Mick Schumacher and the many F2 grads (Shwartzman, Illott, Piastri, etc) stuck playing in simulators or needing to move on to Formula E and whatnot to have a chance.

Other teams seem to have fixed their issues with porpoising, or at least they’re not complaining week-in/week-out about it like Mercedes was, and even they now seem to have mitigated it to some degree as well.

Though Horner did have a point: if other teams can design cars that don’t bounce as aggressively, the onus is on Mercedes to go back to the drawing board and do the same.
