What I meant was that the areas that recoil the most when the terms “French Canadian” or “Quebec” are mentioned, generally be the Conservative-strongholds of Western Canada. Quebec has been the West’s/the Conservatives convenient political bogeyman since the early 1990's, and it’s morphed into a genuine dislike.
