Red Bull is going to be stuck with Renault, simple as that. McLaren (who are ditching Renault for Mercedes in 2021), Aston Martin and Williams aren’t going to drop Mercedes power units anytime soon, and Haas and Alfa Romeo aren’t going to end their relationships as Ferrari’s unofficial “b” teams.

The Red Bull/Renault relationship could be greatly improved by simply making Christian Horner sit quietly in the hallway while the grown-ups handle all discussions with/about Red Bull.

Simply implementing a national standard on annual private vehicle inspection (or any standard, for that matter) in the US would be impossible.

I don’t disagree. The biggest issue between Renault and Red Bull for the last few years before RB switched to Honda was the constant pissing match between the mighty egos of Cyril Abiteboul and Christian Horner. It’s not hard to imagine in that an era where the two teams (or three, with AT) are stuck with one another…

Renault isn’t supplying any other teams with power units after this season, so I think they basically have to be Red Bull’s supplier going forward (unless Williams or Haas change?). Still, I don’t think Mercedes or Ferrari would be too keen on supplying engines to a team that actually stands a chance of beating them…

I don’t disagree. If they could sort out a similar deal with Renault or Honda to the one they have currently with Ferrari, that’d be grand. I would imagine Renault could be amenable given they’ve lost their only power unit client in McLaren after this season, and they’ve been looking great the last few races too, so…
