Changelings aren’t real; the Dominion War didn’t happen!

More government organizations should be run that way. “We’ll figure out how to get the money later” is not sound fiscal policy, particularly for a pension with set benefits.

If I asked you to deliver a letter from me to a friend even a mile away for 55 cents, you’d probably slap me.

Red Bull is going to be stuck with Renault, simple as that. McLaren (who are ditching Renault for Mercedes in 2021), Aston Martin and Williams aren’t going to drop Mercedes power units anytime soon, and Haas and Alfa Romeo aren’t going to end their relationships as Ferrari’s unofficial “b” teams.

The Red Bull/Renault relationship could be greatly improved by simply making Christian Horner sit quietly in the hallway while the grown-ups handle all discussions with/about Red Bull.

I don’t know why I watched that video of the people who think Biden was wearing a wire. That was exhausting. Where do they find these idiots?

Simply implementing a national standard on annual private vehicle inspection (or any standard, for that matter) in the US would be impossible.

I don’t disagree. The biggest issue between Renault and Red Bull for the last few years before RB switched to Honda was the constant pissing match between the mighty egos of Cyril Abiteboul and Christian Horner. It’s not hard to imagine in that an era where the two teams (or three, with AT) are stuck with one another

but I don’t doubt that Covid-19 has had a massive hit on their bottom line and they can’t justify the cost of F1

Renault isn’t supplying any other teams with power units after this season, so I think they basically have to be Red Bull’s supplier going forward (unless Williams or Haas change?). Still, I don’t think Mercedes or Ferrari would be too keen on supplying engines to a team that actually stands a chance of beating them

Hey, Cyril. Sorry about shit-talking your power units for all those years, how’s about a reunion?

Fine print is for nerds and the lawyers that will handle the inevitable lawsuits.

Welcome to Weimar America.

I don’t disagree. If they could sort out a similar deal with Renault or Honda to the one they have currently with Ferrari, that’d be grand. I would imagine Renault could be amenable given they’ve lost their only power unit client in McLaren after this season, and they’ve been looking great the last few races too, so

The buck stops with Lewis on the pit lane entry penalty at Monza. The pit crew may have been telling him to box, but the markers that said the pit lane was closed supersede that. It’s a failure on both ends, but Lewis should have noticed at least one of those markers.

“That’s Bullshit,” replies Hamilton. “Where’s that in the rulebook?”

Perez and Hulkenberg might be a good pairing, and I like the idea, but it also seems like another short-term solution for Haas. It’s an upgrade on Mags and Grosjean, but it’s still two drivers on the wrong side of 30 and they might be at this crossroads again a couple of years from now.

I think it’s sorta time for Haas to move on from Grosjean and Magnussen. They are in need of a shake up in their driver lineup.  Sign Perez or Hulk and maybe foster a rising, young Ferrari academy for a couple years. I figure between Ferrari’s two informal ‘B’ teams (Haas and Alfa Romeo), one of them will get

Wartime censorship prevented the press in combatant nations from reporting on flu’s spread both at home and at the front. Spain was neutral during WWI and not subject to such pervasive wartime censorship, so it was one of the few places where the spread and impact of the flu could be reported on reliably. This created
