HAM-BOT-VER... I’m shocked!

As much or more of a parade than Monaco usually is?

I think this is a nice career move for Seb. He likely doesn’t get a car that can compete for wins, which I guess is kinda true for every team not named Mercedes (or Red Bull, to some extent), but at least it’s a weekly Formula 1.5 contender.

Ahhh CANZUK, the potential union for people who want a special, new Commonwealth but without all the black and brown countries.

Right? How can someone say department properly applied the zero tolerance rule, but in the next breath say they need to show some tolerance for racism?

I’m not a big Star Wars fan, but I think making Rey the Emperor’s granddaughter was as lazy as the whole half-assed effort of the new trilogy. There were parts and characters I genuinely liked, but it’s all such an incoherent, garbled mess that you end up with three vaguely-related films.

I would like Q to make an appearance on Picard. I know John de Lancie has aged a good bit, but he’s a Q, he can make himself appear older if he damn well pleases to.

5th Gear: Makes sense to go for Ford first since their decision to dump the Edge and Nautilus puts the future of the Oakville assembly plant somewhat up in the air. I sincerely hope they can get something solid done, but what can Ford allocate to that facility? I can guarantee the provincial and federal governments

This ’96 GLT seems a fine example of the breed and is kitted with both a five-speed stick and a luscious brown velour interior.

It doesn’t get any hotter than a mid-90's Volvo.

5th Gear: I wish the Canadian autoworkers luck. After GM killed their Oshawa plant, there’s a bit of a feeling the Canadian auto industry is on shaky ground at the moment. Honda and Toyota (both non-union) seem committed to continuing building in Canada (building the money-printing Civic, CR-V and RAV4 here), and

Hamilton has been around Monza dozens of times in his career, he should know where those signs are, right? Personally, I just think he wasn’t paying attention or focused on something else and missed them. Simple and innocent as that.

A career lasting nearly a decade in the highest autoracing series in the world isn’t anything of which to be ashamed. He might not be the world’s greatest driver but he’s managed to stick around quite a while, perhaps a lot longer than some of the younger more promising guys who came up and flamed out.

The optics of racing at Sochi are much worse globally than their failure to kneel before a national anthem.

That was the last year Lotus was a decent team and the last time Grosjean had a truly competitive car to race. I think the team ran into big money troubles around then, Kimi left soon after, and Grosjean unfortunately turned back into a pumpkin.

I seem to remember the commentators speculating that Bottas was dealing with some kind of damage, as Valtteri was complaining about some kind of issue as early as the first lap. Combine that with the Merc’s troubles in the dirty air of traffic and that’s probably why Bottas was having troubles.

Ahhhh 2013 and those glorious black and gold Lotus cars. Amazingly, Grosjean got six podiums that year and Kimi missed the final two races of the season for back surgery, allowing fellow Finn Heikki Kovalainen to take his seat.

F1 is better when crazy, ridiculous things happen like Germany and Brazil last year. I didn’t think Gasly would hold on to that lead, but it was a great piece of driving to keep the gap with Sainz just wide enough to keep him behind.

That’s what I was thinking watching him on screen. He knows and doesn’t really care what Homelander and Stormfront say or believe because they make the company and by extension him a lot of money.

I was never much of a Williams fan but it is bit of a shame to see the Williams family leave Williams Racing. But it is what it is. The team has been stuck in a massive rut and hasn’t caught much of a break in any way since Bottas and Massa left.
