The Liberals have won Quebec twice since 1980, in 2011 and 2015, so I think it’s safe to say it’s no longer a stronghold.

I have seen PPC signs popping up around the neighbourhood.

I forgot how much I enjoyed Toast of London. Matt Berry is great in just about everything.

I thought it was a decent race. I’m certainly happy for Vettel getting his first victory of the season (should be his second, but let’s not re-litigate that mess). I don’t think Ferrari intentionally screwed Leclerc, it just happened to work out that way. Who knows how it plays out if they don’t have three safety

I think that’s everyone’s favourite pic of Bernie.

FPTP demands we vote strategically when and where we can. It sucks, but it’s the system we have.

People hate the Bloc for three reasons: 1) They’re separatists, 2) They can dominate a very important swing province in elections, and 3) They’re French Canadian.

I don’t know how one could single out the NDP for unpreparedness when really this is something every party, including the Liberals, should have caught years ago.

So fucked up that nobody found any of this until now

I think that’s great news, and the mock-up looks like a van-version of a Honda e, which is kinda awesome.

Our two main parties leave us between a choice between a Turd Sandwich and a Giant Douche (it doesn’t matter which is which).

Kubica’s comeback story was great, but he doesn’t really have the pace anymore and I’m guessing Williams can find someone willing to pay more to finish last on the grid.

The Bloc is essentially a French version NDP that wants Quebec’s independence. They’re not all that bad from an environmental and social policy standpoint, except they also want to separate from the rest of Canada (which isn’t nearly as popular now as it was in 1995). They’d actually be a pretty good party if not for

I could hold my nose and vote Liberal, but my federal and provincial ridings are essentially NDP vs Conservative (or PC) with the Liberals a very distant third, and so I have to vote strategically.

Aren’t approval ratings in a multi-party system like our are always going to return low results for prime minister? Trudeau received 40% of the popular vote in the last election, a solid 60% of the country voted for other parties (and thanks to the crappiness of FPTP he got a huge majority in Parliament) and in most

Doesn’t matter, still the champions.  Flags fly forever.

Minority government is always the best possible outcome of our elections.

I don’t think Harper, Scheer or any of their Conservative cronies are considered fun enough to be invited to parties.

I’m curious to see the response to his apology and the reaction from the public, but I think this might tank the Liberals just enough to hand creepy Scheer the election. Fuck. The last thing we need is a Doug Ford/Jason Kenney-type climate change denier as PM.
