my initial reaction upon seeing the photo was that it was the C-pillar on a Nissan GT-R with a window scoop then I read Viper and though nice hood vent. Can someone identify upon what part of the car this air intake is placed.

You may have a thing for wide B-pillars. for all the glass mine sure creates a pretty good blind spot. I've always wondered which of the two has the most sheet metal running up to the roof.
