Not only is her hair in just the right position to cover a bruise, a lot of times, the real bruising shows up not a day later but two or even three days later. I absolutely believe both that he hit her hard enough to cause the bruising in the photos *and* that it wasn’t developed enough to show in the Instagram photo…
