It seems like you could use a hug.

Yeah, everyone knows you can’t have a tall man and a short woman on a talking head TV show. That would never work.

Just once in my lifetime I’d like to see a rapist acknowledge “Yes, I raped her. It was a horrible thing to do, and I regret it, but yes, I did it.” People own up to other crimes all the time, but rapists always seem to have a justification in their mind as to why what they did wasn’t really rape.

I believe that like I believe there’s a Nigerian prince just waiting to send me millions of dollars.

Ugh. I eventually chose to respond, and I regret it. I should have taken my own advice. They’re reading things into what I’m saying that simply aren’t there and telling me I’m spouting bullshit as facts even though I never even stated anything that could remotely considered to be factual - just my opinion on this

I commented on a post about someone in a position of power acting like a dipshit over a non-existent “War on Christmas.” I didn’t come here to discuss theology. I didn’t respond because your comment had nothing to do with what I was talking about. I wasn’t talking about the pros and cons of Christian theology. I

That doesn’t make her a hypocrite. It just makes her a nice person. I can’t stand the guy, but if I ever met him, I’m not going to be an ass to him unless he’s an ass to me.

5/7 would snorgle

I like facts. No anger here. There’s definitely some amusement at your insistence on acting like an asshat over things I’ve never said, but there’s no anger. Thanks for playing though!

Christianity is comprised of many denominations, so there is no single official position of the Christian religion because there isn’t a church that encompasses all of Christianity. Christianity is the belief that Jesus Christ is/was the Son of God and the savior of humanity and encompasses a wide variety of disparate

...or child murder, for that matter. I think this person is confusing Old Testament God with Jesus, and I didn’t want to dignify them with an actual response because they’re just a troll trying to piss people off, so I chose not to engage.

Yeah, sadly far too many of them do that. Some actually focus on being Christ-like and being good people, but a lot of them bastardize the message and twist it to match their own (usually hateful) agenda.

The whole “I’m an atheist so I have to be an asshole” trope is getting old too.

“Christians” who hate that there are people that are different from them. (aka people who go to Christian churches and somehow manage to avoid learning a damn thing about what Christ actually taught)

My parents finally told me when I was 12. At that point, I knew it wasn’t true any more, but I was trying to hang on to the magic because even as a kid I knew that Christmas would never feel quite so magical as it did during the years I believed in Santa. I wasn’t scarred by finding out; I just missed the magic of it

My future kid is gonna be the little brat that goes around saying the elf isn’t real because I hate that creepy elf and want that tradition to die. I’m totally on board with Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy, but screw that creepy ass elf.

She was from ‘84? I totally had that one, but I’m an ‘82 baby. One of my relatives must have jumped the gun and bought me one before I was old enough to play with her. I’m guessing it was my grandma. She got a little excited when I arrived and bought newborn me a full Funk & Wagnall’s encyclopedia set because

Aww. How cute! My husband bought me a shirt that says “Best Wife in the Galaxy” in the Star Wars font as part of my Christmas present, so now I’m torn as to what to wear for opening night because I also just got that new Her Universe Darth Vader dress with the cape and that’s what I had been planning on wearing before
