Nice. Wonder how it preformed?

Cars sold in Texas will come with a mandatory pelican deflector.

NP, all day, err’day. These things are hard to find in any shape, much less functional and usable. Running? With a manual? And that cool roof rack? And it works? Oh man. Buy it buy it buy it buy it.

This car is ALL about overcompensating.

But will it really just be a Lambo?

425mm rear tires. Wow.

If you are in a collision with a modern SUV in this car, that shelf is the least of your concerns. As long as the body isn’t riddled with rust, NP.

That was how much I got for my ‘68 Fastback five years ago or so, in the above primered condition. Mechanically, mine was a bit fresher and a whole lot faster.

one of the best features on the new gen of Highlander is a shelf, it even has a pass through for cables to the charger and usb ports below

Running Squareback is NP all day long.
FYI as to the miles - these days older VW’s don’t seem to post them anymore, because they don’t seem to matter.

And if you’re over about 5’-8” tall, you’d never be able to work the pedals.

That net shelf looks awesome, although it also looks as if it might sever your legs in a collision.

Bitter about spending $80,000 on my college education and finding that it’s useless? yep. Went to college for Chemistry and Microbiology, all that does is make you a dishwasher in a lab. This is the harsh reality they do not tell you, and my degree is a SCIENCE degree...

Agreed. I also don’t believe Tavarish would “empty his bank account” for any one of the cars he listed in the article, but nostalgia has become big business, especially with respect to automobiles. Most people are not after the car as much as trying to live their past again anyway.

You saved me the trouble of typing that out :0)

My first car was a 1996 BMW M3. It was my dream first car and I busted my ass to make sure I could purchase one when I got my licence. I did end up buying it and while that car almost killed me several times and got my in a TON of trouble, it was one of the best purchases I have ever made.

Thanks! The way I look at it, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without having sold it.. The thing I remember most is it literally had no traction and would do burnouts for days. The steering was the most on direct that I’ve driven till this day. I have a sports sedan now, but would much rather have the truck still. Oh

Naw. Pretty much every car I've owned has been a step up from previous, and I intend to keep going. I'm not saying new is better than old, but even if I buy an older car, it needs to be something really great that's better than what I have now.

Without a doubt! My first vehicle was a ‘67 Chevy Stepside C-10. Built 350, Viper red etc.. Sold it to pay for college and a laptop. Now that I’m 25 years old, there still hasn’t been a day that I don’t regret selling it.
