I agree with everything you said except the part about trying to make someone laugh. If it just so happens to spontaneously work out that way, then great.

The worst part is feeling like “am I the crazy one? or are we equally crazy?” It’s nice to have some reassurance from a third party.
Yea, I think this is the best way to deal with snide remarks and the like. Even something like “That’s not very polite,” works pretty well. It puts them on the defensive without escalating the situation. Rolling with the punches, or fighting fire with fire is usually a bad idea.
It’s like the difference between crime and organized crime. Crime will always exist, but that doesn’t mean we should tolerate the mafia and all their connections. Frats are a douchebag mafia.
These articles aren’t actually about helping anyone. It’s just topics that the author wants to rant about, disguised as advice for everyone else.
Standard disclaimer: I agree with the message of BLM, and I’m not really a Bernie supporter.
I feel like the standard angles make things look longer and slower. Other angles highlight how fast and short most plays are; you get a better sense of the athleticism and brutality.
Yea, it’s an important point. America wasn’t just some howling wilderness waiting for Europeans to show up. There were people here doing things that people do.
I agree with what you’re saying (and I enjoy your articles in general,) but I’m going to quibble over your argument just to be a pain in the ass :P
Hmm, maybe a Captain America crossover could explain how they both existed during WWII and the present :P
Magneto would like to have a word with you.
This is the most sensible criticism I’ve seen around here. Seems like obvious stuff, but I don’t find anyone saying it.
I’m in no position to tell anyone how to drive a truck... but shouldn’t they keep these things straight at all costs? Does swerving to avoid an accident ever work in a truck?
Sure.
This is gross. Symptom of a peasant mentality “be grateful to the benevolent king!” How about some democracy where the people can be secure in their rights and welfare, and not dependent on the powerful for their wellbeing.
Negatives are proven all the time with logic, I hate that cliche. In fact it’s arbitrary what’s considered negative and what’s taken as positive.
Does Carmax charge dealer fees? I’ve had dealerships want to charge upwards of $1,000 in dealer fees on every car they sell, even some $7,000 used car. I find it very infuriating. I’d like to see a post discussing dealer fees in general.
Exactly, you have to haggle and fight just to get the non-sucker price, which is what they should offer everyone in the first place. Instead they assume the customer is naive, and try to take advantage of them first, before acting like they’re doing you a favor by selling the car at a reasonable price.
I’ve had those points get stuck between panels of metal in the dryer and then get scorched, leading to those marks.
I was a little shaky at first after many years of not having rode, but you get over it pretty quickly.
