Former Green Beret Highly Skilled at Difficult Extractions

There certainly is a crapload of people in the comments of every Porch and/or Tesla article that are butthurt that Jalopnik writers are unfairly criticizing ______. I’m on the side of Occam’s Razor... the Taycan probably got rated lower because it has lower range.  Teslas probably have comparably bad overall build

Ur right. Porsche loved it when I got a quarter-million people to look at this:

The most important metric for a Taycan buyer is range?  Do you hear 911 owners complain about MPG? I think you’re missing the point.

also important to note that the model 3 long range got 455 miles of range on the CARB. so it really isn’t a great metric to rely on.

Couldn’t Porsche just install a larger turbo to increase the range?

It’s also important to note that in CARB testing and certification the Taycan was rated at 282 miles of range.

TBH after reading about how Porsche and Audi are trying to make these cars drivable in all weather conditions and under hard driving, I can’t really knock on the range anymore.

I’d rather drive 200 miles continuously with the peace of mind that I’ll always get 200 than have 400 degrade to 200 over time. I could foresee

I’d have been tempted to sell half my fleet to buy this thing.

Tesla already owns production lines with all the systems you're claiming they're avoiding. Your argument fails both the smell test and any application of Occam's Razor.

I don’t agree with Clarkson hating on Greta, but I think his message is valid. Why should we sit around and argue about how we are going to die and when we are going to die, instead of focusing on how to fix these issues?

and 419 want to buy it used.

That isn’t an apples to apples comparison as the TE37s don’t meet the engineer specifications from any major automotive company. The Carbon Revolution wheels do.

It looks... worse than I was expecting? Like, a lot worse.

Width is always more important than length. As my father once said(to my horror):

Tesla’s marketing is full of conflicting statements. Elon wants to promise the moon but the legal department has to step in and make it clear that you are only getting a picture of the moon and not the actual moon.

Another senior editor at Jalopnik with no idea of what an engineering marvel is...

We should give Jason his own section of Jalopnik called Torchlopnik. Full of wacky, reasonably well thought out things like this.
