Saw him this summer and I’ll just tell you his set is garbage now and you can’t really understand a word he says. He didn’t play any of his best work and most of the songs he played were covers. Being in the same room as him was definitely awesome and humbling but his performance wasn’t the best. Mavis Staples opened

Also bear in mind, none of these ranchers, the Bundy’s included, want to own the BLM maintained land. They just want it returned to local control, i.e., towns and sheriffs.

The Hammonds and the feds agreed to a plea deal in which the feds would recommend the mandatory minimum sentence of five years. But then the judge decided the mandatory minimum term was too long and gave them a discretionary sentence of three months for one Hammond and one year for the other.

I felt it was an above average SNL.

The Family Feud sketch and the Sinkhole Breaking News sketch both killed.

My sister’s response to the old “regulation ills jobs” line is to point out that a lack of regulation kills people. I would guess that the whole “regulation kills jobs” folks don’t care about people dying at unsafe workplaces or people who die because their food is tainted or their house is unsafe.

Personally, I’ve never really understood America’s fetish for staffing technical jobs by popular election: Sheriffs, Judges, Notaries, Medical Examiners, State Engineers...

I get the feeling that electing judges might not be the best way to select objective arbiters of the law.

They are both so sexually unappealing to me, I just don’t get it. Every time I look at Cumberbatch, all I can think is that aesthetically he would have made an excellent Voldemort.

I mean, it makes sense. Imagine if the election were Condoleezza Rice vs. Anthony Weiner. She’s smart, experienced, and level-headed, while he’s a loudmouthed hothead who sends dick pics to random women on the internet - but she’s going to appoint justices to SCOTUS who will overturn Roe v. Wade. Would we be able to

FDR was HATED in his day. My dad still speaks of him with venom. He wasn’t universally adored as some would have you believe and many of his programs were despised as well. This isn’t as odd as you would think.

Yup, the Trumpers don’t exactly check in with John Oliver, Sammy Bee, or us Kinja folk in order to get their news. Having a conservative newspaper support Hillary and do so in a startling positive way (yay for sanity from the Right!) has to be an eye opener for at least a handful of them.

Of all the horrible things he’s said, this one angered me the most. You have to be less than a pile of dogshit to be proud of not contributing tax dollars to your country when you make as much as he does. Should have kept 10,000 troops in Iraq - but I won’t pay for it! Asshole.

Finding ways to get out of paying your taxes is more unpatriotic than taking a knee during the national anthem. At least Colin Kaepernick pays his fair share of the taxes that go to actually paying the troops and supplying them with the supplies they need.

I don’t know how to do lady either. I have never purchased anything from a make up counter. I have never had a facial. I have never used moisturizer. I don’t know what all of that stuff is for. My face has been happy with Noxzema for 50 years as far as I can tell. And I’m all about Supercuts.

I don’t know where to begin...

This, maybe?

I wish she would write the same paper and demand for they publish a response (since they opened the debate) that includes a graphic description of chunky period discharge.

The entire salary and budget for the most recent audited financial statements for the Clinton statement show (per note 9) that the total of all management salary and benefits is 5.17% and totals 12,835,407. Given the size of the foundation that doesn’t seem exorbitant at all.

So...is this an end or a rebirth of the Fourth Estate?

Trump promised to donate $5 million to charity if he was convinced that Obama was born in the United States. When and where will he be making that charitable donation?
