Let’s be honest. Tony George WAS the bad guy. He broke racing, no one liked his rules as far as I could tell.

The idiot Grandson was absolutely taken advantage of by smart people who would gain if Indy failed. Bernie and the France family were threatened by Indy’s success and by the fact that top drivers would defect from F1 to Indy.

When one side is lead by a certified-flaming-fucking-idiot drunk on family money, how well can it go? I hate Tony George with the passionate heat of a thousand suns. He took the sport I loved and turned it into a pathetic joke. He’s the murdering boyfriend in a if-I-can’t-have-her-nobody-can homicide.

IndyCar (CART) was at the top of their game in the mid-90's - top talent from all over the world, a terrifically diverse selection of tracks, and cars that were damn fun to listen to and look at. And Tony George ruined it.

It seems like if your whole deal is pushing engines to the point of catastrophic failure, you should, you know, prepare for that catastrophic failure. 

This is the reason that the drag cars have that extra bit of separation that this truck did not.
