Good point. I think it helps that he’s a “name” to get attention and many of his co-stars seem to be doing other stuff at the moment. Maybe Jerry/Gary/Larry could have done it, but I don’t know if his name is splashy enough to get attention.

Maybe I’m being overly optimistic, but I think it could be interesting to hear

Yup - if you have two companies messing with each other, FTC is who starts to look at it. I’m not suggesting it’s the case yet, but if this goes global and/or either company is public, it can get folks like the IRS and SEC involved too. But FTC definitely cares (or is supposed to care) about trade.

Exactly.  The gubment doesn’t give two poops if we can eat ice cream.

yah, and auto V6 would have made a lot more sense.  auto 4cyl was the worst combination they could have come up with.

Bingo.  Also, I love your user name :)

Oh I know. I had one! I loved the look of it, but it was overall “fine” I suppose. So I’m not putting it up as “best nobody” bought in my book. Perhaps a really good car nobody bought.

I heard Bill Murray say something like that in a Stern interview. People would say they want to be rich & famous. To which he’d reply, “just try to be rich”.

the 5 was great for 4 person families.  I still kinda regret not getting a 6MT one a few years ago.  I have 3 kids and we already have a Honda Odyssey, but this would have been a good family car still!

this guy gets it.  Love the egg.

The 87-89 Toyota Van could be had as a 5MT 4x4 (proper hi-lo transfer case, not AWD like the Previa). There was even a cargo version!

My 84 Van is 5MT, mid-engine, RWD...so pretty much a Ferrari

The TSX Wagon, like the SportCross, was a stick shift away from greatness!

Same here...my parents didn’t own an automatic until my dad was almost 50. And we had several manual Camrys in there.

A chicken and egg situation for sure...dealers won’t order them....then people won’t buy them.  We had to be willing to drive for a few or get them transferred from other states.  I was lucky to find a

For dads on a budget (or already with one “fun” car), these fit the bill super well. I’ve said it before, but there’s really nothing wrong with a Camry that a 6MT wouldn’t fix for me. The 6MT Accord 2.0T was all teed-up to be my next car (oldest kid turning 16 shortly). Now I gotta hunt the used market....which is not

1992 Toyota Previa All-Trac 5MT. I have to think low sales is what made this a one-year only deal. Same could probably said for Lexus ES300 5MT.

The same logic applies to most stick shift family sedans. Take rates too low to continue justifying them. Camry, Accord, Mazda6....all perfectly fine with a manual!

I’m intrigued if an actual Lada or one of the rebadges by VAZ, PAL, etc.  I think going with Indian Premier badges would be the way to go :)

that’s how my bookmark is set

This is key,  Really reduces chance for mistake or for you to not get one of your kids’ orders just right.  I’ve forgotten to order my own food before since I was focusing on getting everybody else accurate.

YES!  I was going to put this one up.  100% absolutely!!

yup....pretty much all the titans from 1965-1975 are in their late 70s or already 80. The next 10 years is going to see the loss of so many legends.

The several times I saw the Stones in concert, Charlie got the loudest applause BY FAR.  Heck, even just showing him on the jumbotron would get a little roar going.
