As flawed as Fable II was I still spent plenty of hours fighting, loving, buying property, raiding tombs, and chilling with my dog.

@natetehgreat: They did. There was a square piece of paper, weathered and speckled with blood, in the instruction manual. You used that paper, with the onscreen instructions, to create the piece of origami. Which is essential to the plot of the game.

One of my cooler gaming moments this year came from the instruction manuals. In Heavy Rain they have you construct an origami piece as the game installs on your hard drive. I thought it was very cool and totally immersed me in the game before I had even played it.
