FPS on the iphones are tricky. I have N.O.V.A. and it plays well, but I don't touch it that often. You can't get that sense of atmosphere that really draws me into FPSs. My iphone gaming time is spent on games that aren't optimized for a console. ie (Sword and Poker, Peggle, battleship)
Oh man, I feel like i need to blow a rail before I read your pieces, to psyche me up.
@MrMiyamoto: World at War kept me interested longer than MW2. And I've put lots of time into MW2.
@nipsen: Mirror's Edge? Really?
@Xcite79: Agreed.
I can't recommend Sword and Poker enough. It combines RPG's with video poker, which is pretty much the most addicting thing in the world.
I found reading comics on my itouch to be almost a cinematic experience.
@Ken: Yea I love that game and it was the main reason i bought Trenches.
@Arbiduck: Swing and a miss. Nice try though.
The pulsar clearly uses Unobtanium.
@D-K: @Cerabret100: Ohhhh. I haven't played the RE series in a while, thanks for the info.
Can someone explain Dueling Analogs for me?
I just bought my first game on demand last night. Mass Effect, the constant TV ads for the sequel convinced me.
@CowboyKill3r: I actually agree. The controls have always put me off the RE series. Super clunky and awkward. I never understood the appeal of a game with such wonky controls.
@Chris Parnell: I agree 100%.
@Monolith: I really enjoyed it too, and am sick of people seeing claiming its only value is an easy 1000 gamerscore.
@STiger: Agreed. L4D is just not that fun for me, too mindless and repetitive.
This looks fierce.
@Benny: Good point. A smart phone running a GPS app is essentially equal in capability as a standalone GPS system.
