This is cool, but what I really want them to do is put a microphone on the next lander. I want to hear what Mars sounds like. We’ve never heard what another planet sounds like before. The Planetary Society has been pushing them to do the same. We’ve seen them to be sure, but haven’t heard them. It may not have any…
Another interesting thing about this dog breed is that it is one of the few that is capable of climbing trees. Their paws can rotate more than the average dog and that allows them to grip tree trunks and branches.
The problem with Heroes is that it was supposed to feature all new characters each season (at least, that’s my understanding). They fell in love with the season 1 characters and they decided to continue their story, even though it was already complete. I mean, Peter was pretty much invincible by the end of season 1,…
Thanks James. I didn’t want to get anything done today anyway.
Let me just say that 99.9% of tea you find in America is just bloody awful, so it’s no wonder you have a bad experience with it (I’m assuming that’s where you are). There’s virtually no such thing as a tea shop, and most coffee shops wouldn’t know a good cuppa if they were boiled alive in it.
I haven’t seen the Danish Girl, so I can’t really comment. I will say that we, as a society, have come a long way in the last few years when it comes to the acceptance, understanding and support of trans and nonbinary people. As ER is actively supporting trans people in this, perhaps that experience (and any backlash…
What amazes me is that the one thing she is known for is a series of books where a major theme is the fight against prejudice.
Force communication is cool, but ESB gives us insights into what the Force can actually do that goes way beyond what is established in ANH. Telekinesis! Seeing the future! Force visions in caves!
This is psychohistory. Asimov figured this out 70 years ago:

So is the Willow show going to make use of the George Lucas/Chris Claremont book series? I’m assuming too much time has passed to adapt those books, but are they going to be treated as canon?
Well, considering he is the most evil bastard in the galaxy, my assumption was that it wasn’t exactly consensual.
Did anyone else notice the symmetrical book stacking? Just like the Philadelphia mass turbulence of 1947.
They looked like they had tusks to me. Horses don’t have tusks. I think I read that somewhere.
I know this is a bit off topic, but I just realized the other day that “Torchwood” is an anagram of “Doctor Who.” Yep, it only took about a decade and a half to work that one out.
I’m thinking a SpaceCamp sequel is in order, actually.
Question- is TOPGUN a part of the Naval Academy? If so, then maybe the reason Mav is still in the Navy is because he’s an instructor. At least, there’s something about that in the law you quoted.
Here’s an idea- what if the android in the drawer isn’t Data or B4, but Lore. He was deactivated and disassembled after all. Data’s body was destroyed, so that can’t be it. I honestly can’t think of a reason to take B4 apart, so....
I honestly don’t know how I feel about this. Tom Hanks is probably the only established actor that could take on the role (he’s at least the only one I can think of), I still don’t know if it will work. The trailer has left me unconvinced.
