"Everything looks broad when you're accustomed to narrow."

Look, I'll agree that the "Jesus made this" statement was stupid and worth adding to this list. Even if you follow the creationist belief this statement is just wrong. However, my earlier post perhaps needs some clarification. I was speaking about the religious comments in total, not merely the aforementioned

Maybe they should keep heir delusions to themselves?

Couldn't agree more.

As can we all, my friend. As can we all.

Mechashiva!

Don't forget the giant steampunk spider in Wild Wild West.

Anything GoBot related should be on the list.

It's not a giant robot. But yes, very ridiculous.

Does this count as a robot?

Mega Maid was brilliant. I say good day to you sir. Good day!

Would you think they sounded dumb if they were praising the miracle of Scientology, or saying that NASA is a tool of the devil lizards that rule us all?

You don't even have to respect them. Acceptance is all it takes.

We're painting with broad brushes, aren't we?

These aren't people who are "simply religious" these are people who went to a firmly scientific site and mouthed off about their religion.

The assumption that you have all the answers is also an obvious sign of a lack of intellect.

You don't get a pass just because the stupid things you say have the word "Jesus" in them. If you replaced his name with Hitler, Richard Pryor or Queen Latifah in any of those comments, they'd still be just as stupid.

Why shouldn't an intelligent person make fun of someone who believes in 2,000 year old traditions that fly in the face of so much proof against them, who also demands everyone suspend logic in its entirety?

Ah, but some of these merely mention "God's creation", and doesn't necessarily posit creation as described in Genesis (I admit that this might be a long shot, but there are plenty of religious people who accept scientific findings). To assume that using the term creation implies creationism, is presumptuous.

In addition, we have delved somewhat in semantics, but when interpreting history, semantics is very important. History is rarely an objective field, and how a thing, event or person is described has a profound effect.
