they certainly can. But from what is written about lucio, he is all brazillian (at least for now, they could always retcon his story). To say the least there are some people who say some rather unflattering things about lucio under the assumption that he happens to come from another continent.

I wasnt bitching about adding diversity (feel free to re-read my original comment, or any of my replies to other comments). I was bitching because this was copy-pasted from Riri Williams story in how she became Ironheart (Ironman’s replacement). Marvel has a 15 year old genius black girl who reverse engineers and

No, Doomfist “gave” her the damaged military peacekeeper robot.

This is overwatch we are talking about. Its not just passion, its obsession. I am not upset with Efi or Orisa, I am happy to see them in the Overwatch universe. I am upset at how crappy the lore/writing justification blizzard did in putting these characters into the game.

The grant gave her money. The grant did not giver her a damaged military peacekeeper robot. The grant gave her the money for education, and she instead used it to buy military hardware for a war machine (You cant even buy a chocolate surrounded toy, much less get access to military hardware to repair military robots).

I didnt say she was mass producing AI, but a single free AI can still be dangerous. It all depends on how well a niave 11 year old girl understand logic algorithms and interpretations of law. A simple glitch or hiccup in the command processing can have dire consequences.

I think the character of Efi has been around awhile, and I think the concept of OR-15A has been around for much longer. I think blizzard was hung up on how to unite the story because they wanted to attach one to the other but had to wait until they had the mechanics for Orisa hammered out. Ironheart came out a year

Creating the mech (which she didnt, she just repaired and repurposed it) isnt a stretch by any means in the lore of the universe. Even for an 11 year old girl, which is set 100 years in the future, and 30 years after a near extinction level war humans had with robots. What I took issue with is the Numbani government

I give you a star because I love a good bad pun.

A government that doesnt pay attention (or doesnt care) to an 11 year old genius who is repurposing military equipment for her own means (especially after the omnic crisis) is incredibly dangerous and naive in the best case scenario. If numbani was so peaceful, why did the need the OR-15 robots in the first place?

D.Va’s backstory is more akin to the military (especially the US and S. Korea) trying to use video games to train soldiers. Yes she has access to a mech, but thats because she is working as a soldier for the S. Korean government.

I know she is a genius child, but for the government to just give her military equipment and a brand new AI after humanity fought a war aganst rampant AI robots just 30 years ago is unimaginitively dumb in lore. Child genius she may be, but also incredibly naive. And its not like the average citizen has access to

I dont have a problem with the young genius trope. I dont have a problem with diversity either. What I have a problem with (at least with marvel on this point) is that they are pushing Riri into being tony starks replacement for the sake of diversity, but tony stark is just going to come back once Ironheart’s comic

She is a recognized genius in Numbani in the lore. But she is also still a child, and she repurposed a government mech that they have very limited quantities of, and gave it an AI. and in the game, rampant AI is what gave rise to the omnic crisis where humanity was fighting for its survival against robots. You can be

Thing is Efi didnt create this robot from scratch, its repurposed damaged military tech. Military tech that Numbani would have tight control over both because of its limited resources and how dangerous they are because they were designed to fight omnics and keep the peace. Rampant AI is what created the omnic crisis

I dont hate the Idea behind Ironheart or Orisa. I hate how fucking terrible the writing justification for the hero. Ironheart is just piggybacking off Ironman, because marvel doesnt want to lose fans of Ironman, and because comics are comics Tony Stark will just be back and Ironheart is just going to be relegated to

Riot: We have spent the last two seasons trying to diversify the meta and make more champions available to do more roles and have more ways to help their teams.

I wanted to get Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, but my local comic shop was completely sold out of the first few issues pretty much since release. So I am just waiting for TPB’s of it to come out to give it a shot. I have heard its pretty good but havent had a chance to read it.

This is almost word for word copy-cat of ‘Ironheart’ from Marvel. Riri Williams just reverse engineers Ironman’s suit and takes over as the new Ironman in Marvel. Efi reverse engineers a MILITARY SPEC GUARD BOT after its damaged after an attack by doomfist, and is now the ‘new’ gaurdian of Numbani.

I feel this is copy-catting ‘Ironheart’, and really not quite up to the standards that Blizzard usually has for its heroes in overwatch. While its fantastic that we are getting an interesting new hero thats from Africa (well at least repurposed in africa, Orisa could have originally been produced somewhere else). Its
