This shit is part of why Trump won. When you are explicitly hostile to a specific race, don’t be surprised when members of that race don’t particularly care for your candidate. Is it any wonder why some white people don’t see themselves welcomed by the left?

He has some conservative ideas. I don’t know if that’s enough to make him a douche. Maybe based on the standards of this site. For most celebs who have been in the public eye for a significant amount of time, I’m sure you can find some pretty damning comments. Even fucking Meryl Streep stood up and applauded Roman

I don’t mind the version they used. Belle doesn’t sing Beauty and the Beast in the movie, Mrs. Potts (Emma Thompson) does. And to be fair, they did a pop version for the original animated version with Celine Dion.

Beast CGI looks iffy, and I still don’t really like Emma Watson as Belle (should have been Emmy Rossum!), but I like pretty much everything else. I’ll definitely be seeing it, though.

“Remember his entire game was that he planned virtually all of the fallings-out that were going on, then fed information to Cap (through Bucky) that would get them to chase him without being trusted by the authorities, then also fed information to Iron Man (by giving away that the original interrogator was dead) at a

I agree, it’s definitely tone deaf. Perhaps my response was misguided.

That’s true. My thought is that his actions are his actions, and although they have some blame in getting him elected, I don’t know to what extent his kids agree with his actual policies (since he never really articulated any concrete policies while running). At the end of the day, they are probably just as horrible

“Either a lot of dudes are getting 3 lines max, or this movie is going to be 100% showing their powers with no exposition or story.”

Yeah. As fun as it was, the plot of Civil War makes little (if any) sense. The villian’s entire scheme turns on him somehow knowing that Iron Man will follow everyone to Siberia, and will then attack Cap and Bucky, even though his reasons for doing so make no logical sense. There are other problems too. The Winter

Perhaps. Trump is a god-awful threat to this country, but I think it’s important to focus attacks on him and his policies, and not throw insults at his family members that may have little (if any) control over him at this point.

“Put a fucking moment of silence and a donation link to the ACLU up during the opening, when the most people are watching.”

“Shit, I hope Bragg wasn’t hurt too badly when his girlfriend smacked him. I’m sure glad they brought her to justice.”

I went to KU, and I can assure you that they weren’t suspended for skipping class or breaking curfew.

“ but coaches everywhere would be well advised to stop referring to anything about possible rape as a “distraction” because that can easily come off as diminishing it”

“I don’t think non-athletes live in this “dorm” either.”

because that’s what happened at Duke, right buddy?

what exactly is he supposed to do? go to the police department, and help them investigate? he didn’t say anything about the crime not being terrible (“campus rape is a serious issue and I hope they dont sweep this under the rug a la the Baylor case”). just that perhaps a basketball player isn’t actually the accused

It’s almost as if “Hollywood types” decide Oscar nominations, and “nerds” don’t.

no it didn’t.

The thing is that Injustice (like The Dark Knight Returns) is a good deconstruction of the DC heroes. It doesn’t work as the basis for an introduction to these movies.
