It happens all the time though. Different casting choices can lead to significant changes for a specific movie. They wanted Sean Connery to be Gandalf. That would have led to a wildly different character, and movie, compared to the films with Ian McKellen. I think people overestimate the extent to which films are set…

Very sad. Someone mentioned it on a different article, but I wonder if Carrie Fisher’s heart attack was connected to her losing so much weight so quickly for Force Awakens. Probably something that you wouldn’t be able to prove one way or another, but it’s a depressing thought.
