I didn’t have one growing up, but did have one in various places where I lived during and after college.

I have one now, but we compost, so I don’t use the GD much.

The main benefit I can see to having a GD is that you don’t have decomposing vegetables in the bin in the house.

Yep, and as commonly agreed upon, would turn around and put most of that money directly back into the local economy (although I’m sure quite a bit would end up on the balance sheets of the healthcare industry)

Not only that, but outside of a few people who invent/create truly revolutionary products (Gates, Bezoz, Jobs etc) most of the wealth possessed by the wealthy comes form the manipulation of the tax code/laws (estate, capital gains, tax havens) rather than actually doing anything.

I was fantasizing about someone applying ye olde ‘stand your ground’ solution to him.
