As someone who had read the main novels (and are done with them) and tried to read Fire & Blood, giving up after 50 pages the wikied it, Otto’s portrayal so far has been disappointing. Not because of Rhys Ifans, who is always great, but because the show is trying to span so many years so quickly and the history of

Non-book person here too, my impression is that he is less neither Littlefinger nor Varys because even when Otto is plotting, he seems to color inside the lines. Sure throwing his daughter in front of the king is manipulative and self-serving, but it is also parasitic. He doesn’t seem to make the same kind of big

I was thinking last night that he’s a mix of Littlefinger and the Archbishop from The Great. More Littlefinger, obviously.

I don’t get the sense that he’s malicious, but he definitely seems opportunistic.

Porn actor hired for HOTD sex-extra: “Oh, I only have to 69 for 12 hours while this weird little kid and Prince Philip watch? Cool, once I had to DV/DA for like 18 hours!”

I like bucatini as well.  Garofalo and Rummo are my favorites. DeCecco will do in a pinch, like for baked pastas and heavily flavored sauces. For very simple preparations, if I can’t find my two favs I just make something else.

in fact, Viserys thought his dad was trying to suggest exactly that

Since I already know the answers to these questions, my focus is more on where the showrunners are going to slim things down. For example, Rhaenyra is linked, either overtly or covertly, to at least four dudes during her lifetime and pops out 6 kids, and I’m doubtful they’re going to go with all that.

Unfortunate but probably correct...

Im still really afraid #2 is gonna win it for em. I know people who think Biden is responsible for the inflation and gas prices, and dont give a shit about anything else.

Smaller servings maybe?

Naw, at some point the bottom gets a bit soggy but it can be minimized. I think the key is the right kind of potato, blanching them and using a little corn starch. And maybe eat faster.

“so that makes it okay”

I’m also not convinced it wasn’t intentional.

I haven’t read the book (and won’t), but my understanding is that she recognizes it was systematic and she holds no animus toward Grande. The excerpt provided by Jezebel doesn’t seem to have that context, thereby sensationalizing it.

They really needed to lampshade that...

Kansas is a closed primary state that only allows you to vote for a candidate if you are registered for that party. Approximately 30% of Kansas voters are independent/unaffiliated, and it’s thus not surprising that around 20% of those who voted on the referendum did not vote for a candidate.

Ballot measures can absolutely be helpful, they are just not going to be enough. Making reproductive choice a central issue when voting for candidates will be doing something different (for Democrats at any rate, it’s a strategy the right has been using for years) and it will be essential to protect abortion rights.

Yes, ultimately politicians are unfortunately mostly representing the people who vote for them - with added weight towards large donors, primary voters and volunteers - rather than the people who live in their districts. Add in issues like gerrymandering and unequal access to polls and things get skewed even further,

I think it’s a bit more complicated than that. One of my friends refers to Roe getting overturned as a “dog finally caught the car” situation. Like all politicians in our inflexible two party system, Republicans need to cobble together enough different factions to get a smidge ahead of the other candidate. “Pro life”
